> A practical guide to Nimki restaurant split bills: single checks, equal splits, item allocations, mixed tenders, receipt review and payment records.

## Split the bill. Keep the order together.

“We’ll pay separately” should be a clear conversation. Decide how the group wants to split, review the checks and record each payment carefully.

### Choose the right split.

One bill, an equal division or items allocated across checks.

### Separate the two decisions.

How the bill is divided and how it is paid are different choices.

### Review the finish.

Check each amount, confirm the external payment and issue the receipt.

## 01 · Start from the current bill.

Use a staff account with billing access. Open the bill request or relevant order and review its items, prices and totals before deciding how to divide it.

## 02 · Ask how the group wants to split.

A single bill works when one person settles. An even split suits a shared total. Item allocation suits guests paying for different parts of the order. Nimki supports these three approaches.

- Keep one bill
- Split evenly
- Allocate items to checks

## 03 · Choose the tender for each payment.

A split bill divides the amount owed into checks. Mixed tender records different payment methods. They solve different needs, so review both the check allocation and the amounts recorded as cash, UPI or card.

## 04 · Confirm, then give the receipt.

Verify UPI or card through the external payment process before recording it. Review any uncertain result before repeating an action. Use the receipt and transaction details to check the finished sale.

## Keep business-recipient details in mind.

The current product supports a single-bill business-recipient choice. Separate business-recipient details for every split check are not part of the supported complete journey, so confirm this requirement before promising it to a guest.

## Questions & answers

### Are split bills and mixed tender the same thing?

No. A split divides the order into checks. Mixed tender records more than one payment method. Review each separately.

### Does a recorded card payment mean the provider confirmed it?

No. Recorded tenders are not provider verification. Confirm the external payment using your normal payment process.
